What a beautiful mug! I’m trying to decide though, if I had to choose would I want a mug of coffee or art supplies like this. Probably depend on whether I’d already had coffee when the choice had to be made, lol.
Thanks, Sandra! Actually this is where mugs that are victims of my husband’s dishing washing end up. If I had turned this one around before painting it I would’ve added the masking tape that’s holding it together to the drawing. Never thought of doing that until I was finished. I just hate to throw out a beautiful piece of pottery if I can find another use for it. Lots of broken mugs around the house filled with “stuff”😊
Wabi sabi! You should try repairing the crack with some kind of gel or texture medium and cover it with gold foil or some such. Still not usuable for coffee, but prettier than masking tape.
Want to say hi and connect? Do you make lovely things with watercolor and want to be featured in the next Guest Artist post?! Great! Not sure, just feel the need to say something? Awesome! Just fill out the form below!

Now, that would be a fun project. Will save that idea for the next broken mug.
Great painting, Mary. Even better after reading you reply to Sandra.
