4/9/18 Cartoons I don't remember the name of the Saturday morning cartoons but I do remember holding down one end of the couch, with my sister at the other end, with eyes glued to the television. 4.9.18 Cartoons img486

4/6/18 French Fries When I was growing up fast food restaurants were non- existent and restaurant dining was not in the family budget. The only french fries I knew were the ones mom made from fresh potatoes...cut with this nifty little cutter (which I still have but never use) and popped into a wire basket to be lowered into sizzling hot oil. There aren't any french fries that could ever compare. 4.6.18 French Fries img481

4.3.18 Dandelions At one time my workbench was in the basement of our house in rural New York State. That was ok because there were large windows pretty much at ground level and every spring I would look up from my work to see a carpet of sunny dandelions. The ground was a blanket of yellow. In my book, dandelions are one of the most beautiful wildflowers. The scan of the painting didn't quite pick up the detail...sorry 'bout that. 4.3.18 Dandelions mg475
