  • For our prompt of “Rose” today, I ended up with this little sketch of a kitten offering one to you! It’s also my way of saying thank you for viewing my posts and reading my little rambles. I’m only showing up

    • Just reading about all your projects leaves me breathless, Charlie! I can’t wait to see what you come up with – I know it will be spectacular!

      • hehe! You and me both! I may have just overextended myself just a touch… lol… but it’s so fun to try to do a million things at once at least! 😉 💕

    • Sketchbook Revival! Yayyyy Charlie — I love it! I will be there (online of course). And of course I read the entire post!! Take care.

    • You have been one busy guy!!! All of these projects sound so wonder…YAY to ICAF…something close to my heart. Can’t wait for Sketchbook Revival and yay that you are going participate this year! You have truly been working on some wonderful and exciting projects. You’re an inspiration, Charlie!!!

      • Aww thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 It’s been a crazy few months, but I figured I should let folks know why I can only show up weekly here now. I’m excited for everything that’s ahead… it’s going to be super fun!

    • Aaaw Charlie, thank you so much 🙂 That is so sweet – I love your ramblings just as much as I love your art. I love how you share what you are doing or have been doing and taking us through bits and pieces of your life with Philippe and Phineas 🙂 Thank you for all the joy 🙂

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕 I’m so happy you enjoy my rambles… I tend to write whatever pops into my head and that’s a crazy place, as we all know! lol Hugs to you, my friend!

    • Great doodle Charlie. What an exciting year. As a huge wizarding world fan, the Harry Potter book sounds great.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😃💕 Yeah, I read all of the books as they were being released! hehe… big fan and so it was fun to be on this project. It’s going to be super cool!

    • Wow! You are busy. Glad you’re loving it.

      • Hehe! Yes… it’s been pretty busy lately, but it’s all so fun! I think we’re always capable of more than we know. It takes saying “yes!” a little more than we think we should to find out! 😉

    • Aww thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 Well… Philippe is still here, so I must be a little fun and not totally crazy to live with! lol I’m super excited for what’s ahead… a bit different path, but still all the same sort of silly fun! And I’d love to receive a painting from you… I shall be awaiting one in my inbox! hehe Hugs to you, my friend!

    • Muchas gracias, mi amiga! 😃💕 I’m glad you’re enjoying the crazy ride. I honestly don’t know exactly what I’ll be announcing even a month from now, but that’s a bit of what I know is happening. I just love to say “Yes, please!” to life and then see where it takes me. It’s a fun way to live! Hugs to you!!

    • Merci beaucoup, Cathy et bonne année! 😃💕 I truly couldn’t change if I tried! hehe… But there are some new things coming that I hope will inspire people to be more creative and have a lot more fun. I’m excited for what’s next!

  • For our prompt of “Kite” today, I ended up with this quick little doodle of a beagle attempting to fly one. Though we’ve had some windy days here, you won’t likely find me outside flying a kite. The temperatures

    • It is difficult to stay motivated during the dark and gloomy days. Today was one of those days, but I did a demo workshop on my ‘loose and lovely’ style for some painting friends and that was energizing. I just hope I can keep that going this evening!

      • Yay! Glad you found something energizing to DO! 😃💕That sounds fun! And yeah, I keep going in spurts of inspiration, but thankfully I have a few deadlines approaching that are also, in their own scary way, a bit inspiring! lol

    • Sunshine, daydreaming, Golden Girls and snuggles…sounds like a perfect winter day to me!!! Your wonderful beagle certainly looks to be having a grand time!!!

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Yes indeed! It’s been a fun time, and I’m not beating myself up to much about taking WAY longer to get things done than usual. hehe… Sometimes a bit of rest is the best cure for creativity!

    • Beautiful doodle, Charlie. At least you get to go out and play in your paintings.

    • Wonderful!

    • Whoa, puppy! Quick, grab him!

      • Lol… indeed! He’s about the fly away! Actually, I thought a kite might carry me away when I was little… and always wondered where it would take me! 😉

    • Thanks so much, Jacquie! 😃💕 And I’m so thrilled you find my doodles inspiring! I know what you mean… it’s challenging to stay motivated when the world gets so crazy. But, it’s also the perfect time to do something creative and crazy as well! I figure anytime there’s less “fun” in the world, then it’s up to us to put that back into the world again! 😉

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Our little furry friends never really leave our side… they’re always in our hearts and imaginations! And imagination is a wonderful way to experience new things… even if they don’t happen yet… it can have the same effect on our hearts and souls to simply imagine things! My daydreaming has gone into overdrive, but thankfully, I’ve gotten a few great ideas that I can actually use in real life along the way! hehe Warm hugs to you, my friend!

  • The “P” is Patricia and the “M” is Mariah, and together we are P.M. artist Studio in Sachse, Texas! So let us tell you a bit about ourselves and our background. Patricia is a retired art teacher with both an

    • Patricia and Mariah, your art is so beautiful. It’s wonderful that you’ve shared your techniques and expression with others. I can tell just by watching the video that you’ve unleashed the creative in many!

    • Wow! What an awesome journey. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art with us.

    • My pleasure! Thanks so much for being part of Doodlewash! 😃💕

    • I’m late reading this but when my two year old granddaughter was here over Christmas we spent an afternoon painting with watercolour. She made puddles of colour and after she left I took one of her pieces and I added marks with inks. I’ve signed both our names to the piece. I’ll post it into my gallery here on Doodlewash.

  • I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful New Year so far! For our prompt of “Diamond” today, I ended up with a little kitten happening upon what must be the world’s largest diamond. While I always hate to see the

    • Charlie you need big hands for that pen so that leaves me out! I like the idea of writing in mid air. Just in case some folk don’t hear what you want em to. Cackle. Enjoy the new year!

    • Happy New Year! Wow, you need to demo this snazzy 3D pen for us!

      • Thanks so much, Jacob! 😀💕 hehe…. yeah, we’ll see on the pen… I told Philippe he has to be present when I try it for adult supervision. lol I’m just hoping I don’t end up burning myself or the house down with it!

    • Great find, Kitty!
What are u gonna do with such a big sparkley diamond?
I’m going to try draw one of those. IF it turns out, I will post!
      Cheers!

    • Glad to hear that your new year is off to a good beginning and looking forward to seeing what you will be up to the rest of the year. That cute little cat is going to have fun batting that big old diamond around and have fun chasing the sparkles!! Your new pen sounds very intriguing!!!

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😀💕 Yeah, I think this is going to be a super fun year ahead. And I’m waiting on different color filaments for my pen to test it out so we’ll see what happens! hehe

    • It is funny how we perceive things as starting anew because we’ve assigned a new year number to our calendar. Humans are strange! I had one of those 3D pens, though a different brand. I didn’t use it much because you had to really work hard to hold down the button that allowed the plastic to flow, and it was painful after a while. You’ll have to let me know if this brand makes it easier, cause it is cool.

      • It is odd that the arbitrary calendar date makes the year new! Spring is even more inspiring as the winter cold ends. I’ll let you know on the pen… it’s just a bit of play, but I won’t be able to test it out for another week or so! 😉

    • That’s a great diamond, Charlie. My grandson got a 3D pen for Christmas. Unfortunately it didn’t work so he now has to wait for it to be replaced.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😀💕 Yeah, I’m actually waiting on replacement filaments to test mine, so we’ll see if it works or if they’ll be a replacement of that in my future!

    • Aww thanks so much, Kerfe! 😀💕 I hope you’re doing well. Glad you like my kitties. Happy New Year, my friend!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😀💕 Yeah… it’s super cold here! I’m sure my first creations with the pen will just be big messes, but those are fun to make too! So happy you had a great start to the year my friend by feeling great! You deserve it!! ❤️

    • Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😀💕 ooooo a squirrel chandelier sounds awesome! Love it! And yes, I’m super excited for the year ahead. Lots of new projects on the horizon, along with a magic pen… what could be better? hehe I hope all of your dreams come true this year, my friend! ❤️

    • Hi Charlie! I can’t wait to see what you do with the 3D do-dad when you get to try it. You know what/who I count as diamonds? All the artists I’ve connected with on WP, which snowballed to IG, all because of a comment you left on my WP way back when! Even though my painting time is a bit limited right now because of spending 2-3 days a week with my new grandson (he’s the best!), I keep up with everyone on IG, and I can’t imagine my art journey without you and them! Thanks for that, Charlie. You are truly a sparkling presence in the lives of many! I’m “off” tomorrow and can’t wait to splash around some paint! 💖🥰 🎨

      • Aww that makes me SO happy to hear Carol! Yay! 😃💕 It’s been so wonderful to connect and stay connected over the years. Thank you for your sweet words! I’ve got so many creative projects going at once lately, it’s been a bit crazy… but crazy and creative are two of my favorite ways to live! lol Have fun splashing around that paint my friend!!

  • For our prompt of “Arctic Fox” today, I did a quick little sketch of one wearing a festive scarf. It feels like this month has zoomed by so quickly, but I always feel like that this time of year. My inner child is

    • I love being able to be the first one to tell you how much I love your painting! 🙂 That is the kid in me. Not only that but also to share that I find that this is the one time during the year to let go and relax and wouldn’t it be just perfect if every single day can be like that and .. why can’t it!?! Hugs to all of you and the very best of wishes for a fantastic 2022. A year filled with relaxation, joy, many creative moments and absolutely no stress!!

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😀💕 And yes! This time of year is proof that letting our inner child remind us to relax and have fun is something that definitely needs ot happen all year long! It’s where our most creative ideas happen too! Hope you have a fabulous New Year my friend!!

    • Sweet Arctic Fox, Charlie! Nice to hear about your lovely holidays; your stories always make me smile. Hope you have a most wonderful New Year!!!

    • Charlie how perfect — I was looking for your site for your prompts and thought I bet if I look at the email I will find one from him. And here it is! Glad you had a great Christmas!! We have a dump of snow and very cold temps that will warm up in a couple days. Have a blessed 2022 and thank you for all you do!

      • Thanks so much, Linda! 😀💕 Yay! Glad my email came at just the right time. We’re getting colder here and may have snow on Saturday! hehe Hope you have a fantastic New Year!!

    • Love the eyes on the arctic fox. Your “doodles” are all wonderful!

    • We’re snowed in. It would make most states laugh, but we’re seldom prepared for them in Oregon. I’m happy that hubby doesn’t have to go in to work. He’s insisted on dragging me out for a couple of meals but I much prefer to just sit and enjoy looking at it from the warmth and safety of my home!

      • Oh wow! Yeah… I agree… unless it’s been several days… I’m just content staying warm inside and enjoying the view of snow! hehe 😀💕 Stay warm!!

    • And you as well Marisela! Take care.

    • Fantastic arctic fox, Charlie. I’m glad you’ve had a great Christmas.

    • Fantastic fox!!

    • FYI, technically (for most Christians), the Christmas season isn’t over until January 6th (Feast of Epiphany) when the Wise Men came. So you can enjoy your tree and the Season for a little longer.

      • Thanks so much, Victoria! 😀💕 So true! There are many more days of Christmas left… even if my vacation doesn’t quite cover them all. hehe Hope you and yours had a fabulous Christmas and here’s to a wonderful New Year ahead!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😀💕 I agree… the house looks like we’ve been robbed after the decorations disappear! lol Totally blah! And, I didn’t have any records left, but my mom has them so she’s bringing some up in the spring when she visits. This will definitely be your year my friend! You’ll find your other half of that orange! hehe Much love to you and a very Happy New Year ahead!

    • Feliz Ano Nuevo, Marisela! Yeah, I think Texas was even more unprepared than we were. – but you had more reason. We don’t get a lot of snow and ice, but we do get some most years.

  • For our prompt of “Fireplace” today, I made a quick little imagined sketch of my dog Phineas in front of one. While we do have a fireplace, it’s too modern for my tastes and so I figured this was a chance to dream

    • Charlie worry more about fats and cholesterol than calories!! You opened one of your prezzies already? Cool!! Have fun and have a Merry Christmas and a fruitful 2022! Make sure to have extra dessert, after telling you to avoid fats hahaha. Blessings.

      • Thanks so much, Linda! 😀💕 Philippe makes everything a bit less fattening than the recipes. lol And… the presents that come in the mail from family we get to open whenever they arrive! hehe… but Philippe won’t let me open any of his early. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

    • Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!

    • Jacob replied 1 month ago

Merry Christmas to the Doodlewash Crew <3

    • Merry Christmas! Hubby isn’t off until Friday and then he doesn’t go back to work until after New Year’s is observed, so I’m looking forward to having him home for a while.

      • Thanks so much, Sandra! 😀💕 Aww yay… so happy you’ll have a full week to spend together. Merry Christmas to you both!

    • ooo so nice and cozy! I love fireplaces. Thank you Charlie for the beauty you share with us.

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😀💕 I’m so happy you enjoyed this. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

    • Love the fireplace ambiance and of course Phineas! Joyeux Noel! Have a blessed Christmas!

    • Wonderful fireplace Charlie. We’re past the solstice now so I look forward to the evenings drawing out.

    • Love it!! Phineas seems to enjoy all the festivities..

      • Thanks so much, Varsha! 😀💕 Hehe… I think he thinks we’re nuts when it comes to festivities, but he does love the warm fireplace!!

    • As we Italians say, Buon Natale (Good Christmas) and a fruitful 2022!

    • Phineas looks perfectly content! Have a beautiful Christmas!!!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😀💕 And yum!!! Tamales sounds SOOOO good!! Yep, we’re going to hide inside for the remainder of the year. It will be lovely. Feliz Navidad mi amiga!! Te quiero mucho!

    • Thanks so much, Shawn! 😀💕 Indeed! A visit from Santa is worth the momentary noise! hehe

    • Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😀💕 I’m so thrilled you enjoyed this post… and were able to read it in the jungle. Yay! And that encounter with the tigress is definitely a beautiful watercolor moment. Hope you’re getting lots of photos while you’re there. Much love to you my friend and I hope you have a fabulous New Year!

    • Charlie you described what I hold dear about hearth and home. I’m sending every blessing to your little family for a great Christmas and a safe and healthy new year 🤗🤗🤗
PS If you talk to Santa before I do, I’m still waiting on a puppy, please put in a good word 😏🐩

      • Aww I’m sending you much love my friend… and I hope you get that puppy for the holidays! That sounds like the perfect way to enjoy them and ring in the New Year!! 😀💕

  • For our prompt of “Polar Bear” today, I sketched a festively dressed one prepping for a snowball fight. When I was a kid, there was nothing better than waking up to a fresh bit of snow on the ground. While it took

    • Charlie, I think you’ll always be a boy with an impish grin, stifling a giggle, ready to let a snowball fly! Have the most fun and the Merriest Christmas ever! (Your polar bear is!)

    • We just decorated my brother’s Christmas tree on Sunday and I got to see some family I haven’t seen for a while. We had a lovely ham dinner and it was all very festive. It was Florida, so no snow, but we managed to work up a very Christmasy feeling anyway. It was a very nice time.

      • Aww yay! I’m so happy to hear that! 😀💕 Yeah, it’s the Christmas feeling I adore most… and snow is just a bit of extra. It’s all going by too quickly though! hehe

    • What a totally gorgeous painting, Charlie! It brings up memoires of snowmen, snow forts, ice skating and snowball fights….and being soooo cold we wondered if we would ever thaw out. But of course, there was always a cup of hot chocolate or maybe a steaming hot bowl of soup to warm us up. Have the Merriest Christmas ever., my friend!!!

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😀💕 Hot chocolate and hot bowls of soup are sooooo good! I do get tired of the crazy cold weather, but it does come with some pretty awesome perks! A very Merry Christmas to you and yours, my friend!

    • Fabulous doodle, Charlie. Our weather is very mild, with flat grey sky, yuck.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😀💕 Ours was like that for a few days, now, It’s colder again here, but sunny at least. Last night we had really strong winds and storm that lasted only a few minutes, but not what we’d expect this time of year.

    • I absolutely love him Charlie 🙂 We are in the deep freeze up here so cups of hot stuff are always welcome. 🙂 Thanks for the joy you bring 🙂

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😀💕 Stay warm my friend!! Yeah, it was so warm here yesterday and no it’s cold again after a wind storm blew new weather our way. No snow in the forecast yet, though, but who knows! 😉

    • Charlie right on, winter in February when absolutely nobody is interested. I accidentally enjoyed part of a snowfall once and immediately informed myself that it is F E B R U A R Y. Oops. Just go out in it with Phillippe and have a little glass of wine in your cozy home! Ahh bliss….

      • Hehe! Yeah… by February, I’m just sooooo ready for spring again! lol 😀💕 We’ve wandered outside to watch the snow fall… that’s really a wonderful experience, especially with a glass of wine to keep us warm! hehe

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😀💕 You should totally run and roll in the now like a kid! hehe It is fun! It’s just as an adult, it’s the frozen wet clothes I don’t want to deal with afterward! lol If you get a Texas snow you should go for it, though! Big hugs to you, mi amiga! 😀💕

      • Good Morning Charlie O’Shields!!! I have to say that I have Never imagined “snow” in Texas. In my eyes I picture cowboys roping steers, branding cattle, getting thrown from a “Buckinghim” horse and possibly people like “Shane” or “Anne Oakly” or even bigger guns like John Wayne or Clint Eastwood….But snow??? I dunno. Even we in up state NY haven’t had a lot.
Hope you and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas.
        Sincerely,
        Charlene

        • Thanks so much, Charlene! 😀💕And Merry Christmas to you!! I’m actually in Kansas City, Missouri (born and raised here) which often gets snow this time of year. My family is in Texas (my mom and dad “left home” when I was 18), though… but very north Texas, so sometimes there’s ice and snow. As an adult, I have to admit I enjoy snow most when I’m off work and don’t have to drive in it! hehe 😉

    • Thanks so much, Shawn! 😀💕 Glad you enjoyed this! I love to add lots of color to my “whites” and “blacks”… keeps things more interesting. 😉

    • shawnthompsonart Well I saw a video on a camera that was dropped on a little fight with a grizzly (way smaller than a polar bear). the bear just picked the American photographer up and he tried to fight. The bear won and left him to rot before he ate him. Bears do that. Last I heard the family was fighting the park services for rights to their family member’s camera.

  • For our prompt of “Candy Cane” today, I made a little sketch of a kitten stealing marshmallows from a mug of hot chocolate. Oh yes, with a couple of candy canes and a cookie included. This is the time of year

    • Love your holiday enthusiasm, Charlie! Your sweet kitten is right in the mood for the treats of the season!

    • I so love it too Charlie. You make me all happy and excited inside. So does being in a grocery store line up with kids – when they are still at the age when they are excited. Sometimes there is the discussion about Santa Claus and an incredulous look from the kids when I say that of course there is a Santa Claus. I just love the Christmas season and I’m so happy that you got to your family’s for a – more or less – traditional time. Now do you three get to enjoy a nice quiet cozy Christmas together?

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕 Hehe… yes… it’s so fun to see the looks on the faces of kids. I think my own looks like that all month long! lol And yes! The rest of the season we might see a couple of friends, but it’s mostly just our cozy trio and lots of quiet down time (well, and gifts, candles, sparkling lights and more! weeeeee!)

    • Great doodle Charlie. I’m glad you had a great time with your family. We have our family round on Sunday. One of our daughters and her family are going to France for Christmas so we’re having our get together early.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😃💕 Oh that’s wonderful you get to see them early this year. And France for Christmas is so beautiful! I’ve only been there just after, but everything is still decorated for the season.

    • So grateful to hear you made it out to see family! I know last year was hard to be away so it’s awesome to hear about this year’s congregating, sweet tasting, axe-throwing excitement! I bet there was hugging😉🤗 I met Marcelo at Da Vinci yesterday and I told him you and the World Watercolor and Doodlewash communities are how I found his very awesome family of Paints. The mention of your name was a big smile! Think we all feel like that!

      • Thanks so much! 😃💕 It was SO good to be with family again this year. And, who knew axe throwing would be involved… thankfully my family gets along really well! lol And yay! Marcello is wonderful… so happy you met. It’s been so great to have made so many wonderful connections in this big crazy world!

    • I’m glad you had a wonderful visit with your family! That axe-throwing arena looks interesting, but a little scary!

      • Thanks so much, Sandra! 😃💕 hehe… I thought axe throwing would be a little intimidating, but there it’s very safe and about like darts. Though I’m way better at darts! lol Was just glad to land a couple of hits so I can say I’ve tried it properly.

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Yep.. that was my hug for sure! 😉 And yay that your squirrel problem is fixed!! That’s awesome! Sadly… still no chicken fried chicken in the mix, but I’m not giving up hope. hehe… Philippe has a new air fryer so he’ll need to expand his horizons a bit. lol Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

    • Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 Sorry you have to return so soon to the jungle. Hope everything works out fine. I’m thrilled my posts make you happy… you deserve all the happiness in the world! And now that I post weekly, there’s only 3 more posts this month of me getting younger and younger, giddier and giddier… hehe… so I’ll be about 5 years old completely by the end of the month! Much love and big hugs my friend! ❤️

    • Thanks so much, Shawn! 😃💕 Glad you enjoyed this!

    • Thanks so much, Fanna!! 😀💕 Glad I made you smile my friend!

    • Thanks so much, Lidia! 😀💕

  • For our final November prompt of “Decorations,” I ended up with a little mouse marveling at shiny holiday ornaments. As we head into the month of December, I do hope you’ll join us for our “Happy Holidays” art

    • Charlie you are a poet at heart, those beautiful words — I feel your love and happy wonder. I know the three of you will have an incredible Christmas. Enjoy and give thanks!

Done with my editing I mean decorating after six days changing things around on the poor little tree. I got it though. Except that today I had to fix a branch gap.

      Who knows what tomorrow brings….

      • Thanks so much!! 😃💕 So happy you enjoyed this post. Glad to hear your holiday editing is coming along! hehe I hope you have a beautiful season ahead!

    • Beautiful reminder of what makes the holiday so special and that little mouse looks like he has mischief on his mind. Sweet!!!
Have a wonderful visit with your family!!!

    • Marisela you must find someone there to talk with and get some help. The best way to heal is to come out of yourself by helping others. Find some volunteer work in the community. The Catholic church is always looking for helpers. Seniors alone always need companionship and there are agencies set up for volunteer visiting etc. Daycares use volunteers. The only way to come out of yourself and the misery is to reach out to others and help them. In helping others (loving your neighbour) you fill your own soul.

Pursuant to that, try not to use occasions (Christmas, Easter, birthday etc) as markers for your journey becasue then you might give up just before the miracle, as the famous saying indicates.

The only one who can change your life is you. God will get you there. Ask. Seek. Find. Doors open.

The tree finally did what I told it to. Now I can go edit the world…?

    • That’s exactly what dazzling hope looks like! Good friends are always a wonderful thing! 😃💕 And thanks for sharing your truth… it’s never easy when we know we have to wait on getting our dreams. But, I’ve always found that if it’s a really good dream, it’s always worth the wait. And what we have now, in this moment, even if it doesn’t amount to anything close to that beautiful dream, there’s always something beautiful to cherish. Like this virtual hug that I’m sending your way!! ❤️

    • That’s so wonderful to hear! Sounds like it’s going to be a fun month of creating ahead for you! 😃💕 Yay for keeping that wonder of a child, and the constant courage. Little kids assume everything they create is an instant masterpiece. I don’t see why we adults should ever feel differently about our work! Hugs to you, my friend!

    • Hmm. Get a notebook and a good pen, the kind you can’t feel in your hand and then take the cap off, helps us write faster and under creative brain. Write all this kind of stuff into the journal. Yes I forgot about the pandemic when I said do volunteer work, oops. Take care.

    • Marisela the pen I use is a PaperMate 0.8 F . There are two hearts atop each other between Paper and Mate. I use the black ones, with the cap off. I will look for the video.

  • For our prompt of “Hibernate” today, I ended up with this little bear snuggling under a blanket. The weather has gotten quite cold where I live and so Philippe and I have pulled out all of our warm blankets.

    • Yours is the way to embrace the season! We should take the cue from Nature. Get cozy, hibernate, re-charge, and spend precious time with loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving, Charlie!

    • Charlie have fun with your tree. I erected mine this morning. First the branches had to be edited. Two hours. Then I took the string of lights and draped those over the tree but left their actualy placement til I feel like editing those for another long time. Then I’ll have the ornaments. Every day I edit everything til anytime between Dec. 24 – 25 and then it comes down. Happens every year.

We had our Thanksgiving a month ago — enjoy yours!

    • I didn’t have too much planned for the holidays, which is good since I’ll be doing some unexpected travel between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m just going to enjoy all the lights and decorations that everyone else has up, and not worry about having to do any of it, or clean any of it up afterward!

      • That sounds like a good plan! We definitely do that for anything on the exterior of the house. hehe… Our neighbors do enough to take up the slack! hehe 😉 💕 Happy Thanksgiving!

    • So, I do like your description of hibernating like a bear…that is exactly how I feel these days…we’ve had a busy fall, but now get nestled in. Cozy blankets are everywhere…on the couches and chairs, on the beds… you can always get warm here. The shorter days and cooler nights do make me “hibernate”…sleep in longer, and I do enjoy this b/c I am retired now. So Happy Thanksgiving yo you and yours. Enjoy your family time, and quiet time.
      All the best of everything!

      • Thanks so much, Irene! 😃💕 Sounds like you really know how to enjoy the season! Hibernating during this time of year is a great strategy! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

    • Adorable! It’s meant to get a lot colder here over the weekend, it might actually feel like blanket weather! I feel a bit like hibernating at this time of year, at least until December, when the Christmas countdown officially begins – music, lights… yay! Have a fun Thanksgiving!

      • Thanks so much, Jacob! 😃💕 Blanket weather is the best when it’s not too terribly cold. hehe And eeeeek!! The countdown to Christmas is nearly here!!!

    • Hibernate is precisely what we plan to do for Thanksgiving and I am soooo looking forward to it!! Hope you have the happiest Thanksgiving ever!!!

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Yep… we’re going to relax and hibernate through the long weekend. Can’t wait! Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

    • Oh Charlie Baby Bear is so delightful. I read your descriptions of this season and I think to myself “I have to be more like Charlie”. But your stories of what you are doing cuddle me up in a blanket like Baby Bear is cuddled up and I enjoy each and every one. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and the tree decorating. 🙂

    • Very cute doodle, Charlie. I hope you both have a great thanksgiving.

    • Indeed! Best time of the year!! 😃💕

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 I love blankets… we have so many of them! hehe Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving my friend!

    • Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 And welcome back my friend!! And seasonal winter fruits sound amazing too! Truly… I just love food, so any food that arrives once a year is super special. Sending you warm hugs in return! Much love!

  • For our prompt of “Sweater” today, I made a little sketch of a fox wearing one while enjoying a cup of something warm. I was thinking of hot chocolate, coffee, and Irish coffee all at once, and couldn’t quite

    • I love your cozy little fox and what wonderful memories to cherish Charlie 🙂 .

    • Charlie, I love the cozy, comfy, so cute

    • Charlie you are full of cuddles and love! You changed your format, needs log in now in order to click Like or leave a comment. I forgot I had that log in name! I have a different one to log in to my account above. Considering I am trying to decide whether to do Word Press for book promo or to go with Facebook this is getting more confusing all the time. Maybe that foxy fox will share the Irish Coffee (no whip cream thanks).

I was looking at my sweaters today too but not yet. I am too stubborn. We had a lightning storm last night (in November in Canada) and slides and what a mess, back to hoarding because the food trucks can’t get through.
Enjoy your nicer weather! And keep sending us those magnificent sketches.

      • Thanks so much, Linda! 😃💕 I’m not sure what changed, as I didn’t make any changes, but seemed like a temporary glitch where WordPress likes, weren’t loading on the page, but they’re back now, so that might have been an issue with logins. It’s hard to tell these days! hehe It’s actually been warmer here than I’d like… hehe… I switched to sweaters and it’s tough to go back and forth! lol But yeah… I think an Irish coffee would fix it all! 😃💕

    • Wishing you a wonderful trip and a fabulous Thanksgiving!!! Cute little fox there, Charlie!!! 🥰

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 I’ll be back for one more post before the big day I hope… hehe… I’m so excited about the food Philippe will make! Yummy!!

    • I’m always so hot (and not in the good way, lol). I love the look and feel of sweaters but can seldom wear them. When every one else is piling on the heavy stuff, I’m still wearing my summer clothes. I still envy you your Paris sweaters!

      • I’m actually the same way! Most of my sweaters are “spring” sweaters… it has to get super cold before I can wear the bulky ones and those are only for work when I don’t move around much. Otherwise, I’ll sweat right through them! lol 😉

    • Great doodle, Charlie. It’s the time of year where I take a flask of soup if I go for a ride or walk. Find a spot with a nice view and have a hot cup of soup. Lovely.

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Yeah, after I twisted my ankle last summer I wasn’t walking for about 6 weeks, then the weather got too cold before I started up again and well… it was a weird year! lol It wasn’t until Philippe got a Vitamix and made lots of yummy vegetable soups that I was able to fix things as it were. hehe And yes, I’ll definitely send a hug south when I’m in Texas! I’m not looking forward to the travel, but will appreciate the little break with family! 🙂

    • Oh thanks! I actually plan to show up next Tuesday, but I get so excited about the season I can’t stop talking about it! lol 😉

    • Thanks so much, Shelly! 😃💕 I only have a palette of 12 that I use to make everything… and just use a few per illustration. It’s fun to mix!

    • Thanks so much, Janna! 😃💕 Happy Thanksgiving!!

  • For our prompt of “Maple” today, I thought of autumn leaves and ended up with a cat napping on a bed of some. I adore this time of year where I live. The trees have transformed into a beautiful palette of bright

    • Love this happy kitten, Charlie! It’s been a long time since jumping into a pile of leave was on my list of playful things to do but I sure do remember the fun of doing just that and then having to rake them back into a pile to make dad happy. I think he had as much fun watching us as we had playing in those mountains of color. Don’t ever grow up, Charlie,

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 hehe! Yes, it was always so fun playing in those mountains fo color! Today, I’d be afraid of breaking something… lol… but it’s fun to reimagine it!

    • We don’t have any trees around, but we live in about the lowest part of the county, directly in the path of the East wind that roars down the Columbia Gorge. As a result, we get the leaves of almost everyone in the neighborhood. Now is that fair?
I love the raccoon at the writing desk!

      • hehe! If there’s colorful leaves, it might be fair!… but not having to rake them! lol 😉 And thanks! 😃💕 I added that to my Sketching Stuff sign up form. There won’t likely be a newsletter until next year, but I wanted a more dedicated space and way to write to folks. The newsletter will be different and be just me rambling with thoughts on creativity and making things and not a raccoon. I hope people aren’t disappointed. hehe

    • The kitten looks very cosy. I went for a walk along a wooded path on Sunday. I came around a corner and the low sun was shining through some golden oak leaves. They looked wonderful.

    • Dreaming and enjoying this wonderful season, it just doesn’t get any better.

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Thrilled you enjoyed this one. Yeah… we always change… and sometimes in small ways and sometimes big ways, but life is never static. As for the season… the autumn winds came with a burst today and brought freezing temps and a tiny bit of snow, which was brief, yet lovely! Phineas has been in his little red sweater for walks now.

    • Thanks so much, Shawn! 😃💕 Glad you liked this little kitty!

    • Thanks so much, Janna! 😃💕 I’m so happy these bring back wonderful childhood memories!

  • We’ve reached the start of the new month and that means the start of a brand new Doodlewash art challenge! For our second prompt of “Pie” today, my mind went first to nearly every pie I could think of, because I

    • Blessings Charlie — and what’s with the whipped cream on apple pie????

    • I’d love a piece of that delicious-looking pie Eating pie is a piece of cake!😍

    • November is a cornbread month for me – it just seems like you have to have cornbread. I make it up in my bread machine as a bread rather than a cake so it isn’t quite as sweet or crumbly or as high in calories – just tasty with chili!

      • Awww cornbread and chili is the best!! 😃💕So good! It’s now a tradition when my great nephew visits, but it’s always in early spring instead.

    • Looks like a delicious slice of pie to me, Charlie!!! We finally had a few days of cool weather down here, cool enough to open doors and windows and make it feel a tiny bit like the season for celebrations .Turkey and cranberries are in the freezer waiting for the big November feast!

    • mmmm delightfully yummy looking Charlie :).

    • Great slice of pie, Charlie. We don’t eat fruit pies that often but have fruit crumble and ice cream every so often we Sunday lunch.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😃💕 Ohhhhh I adore apple crumble… Philippe made that after we were watching Friday Night Dinner and they kept mentioning it! hehe

    • Hi Marisela, not a fan of desserts except pumpkin pie (no creams) once a year and a few cookies at Christmas. I have to watch out for chocolate though.

    • Yummy pie Charlie!🥧😊 That’s as close as I’ll be getting anytime soon so I’m savoring the memories of my Grammie’s apple and lemon pie-perfect crusts! If I think about how nice they were it would be hard to top them so I don’t feel as bad not eating pie now, besides, I ‘ve probably eaten my lifetime allotment! 😄😁😆🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧

      • Thanks so much! 😃💕 hehe… I feel the same. There are some wonderful memories of desserts that I’ll just taste in my mind. That way it doesn’t ruin my memory or my waistline! lol

    • Thanks os much, Linda! 😃💕 And yay! Yum to pumpkin pie!!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 I’m a bit late this time on replies… been unplugging a bit lately to rejuvenate myself. Aww that new French place sounds awesome! And truly… it’s all Philippe on portion control… I have no self control on that front! lol Especially when it comes to whipped cream!! YUM!! And it’s always a good time for a comeback! Yours is coming!! Much love! ❤️

  • For our prompt of “Chain” today, my mind leapt to swings on a playground and then to leaping out of those swings when I was a kid. It was certainly fun to swing back and forth and see just how high I could go, but

    • De you said exactly what I was feeling when I saw Charlies picture! What a talent to be able to express those wonderful feelings in a painting. Thank you Charlie for bringing back those lovely moments. You are special!

    • Love this brave little kitty! Jumping off the swing, ready to land on his feet! Your sketches/doodles are so awesome!
I have never see a YouTube demo from you…might be fun…?

      • Thanks so much, Irene! 😃💕 Thrilled you enjoyed this! I don’t currently do video demos outside of very occasional workshop appearances, but I have a couple Sketching Stuff Activity Books that share my childlike approach and watercolor tips! I’m hoping to do more video next year as I have a new idea I’m working on next! 😉

    • Wonderful, Charlie!!! Did I read correctly that this was done our your ipad? If it was I am even more impressed…it’s WOW!!! Always, loved swinging as high as possible and then jumping to see how far I could “fly.” Ah, the good old days 😁😍

      • Oh no! hehe…. this was traditional watercolor in my sketchbook. I still try to do one of these a week so I can post them here! 😉 Though my picture books were painted on the iPad for the final version and everything I make ends up looking like me no matter how I make it seems. hehe… so yay! Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕

    • Your plan sounds like the best way to enjoy October! Being in Florida for a good part of the month, I missed out on a lot of the seasonal change, but I’m back home now to enjoy the best of it!

      • Welcome home my friend! 😃💕 Yeah, I love this time of year… I try to balance going too crazy with projects so I can just enjoy the season. Hehe

    • Right on Charlie! Always be a kid! I still dance backwards around the house while Bobbi McGee plays in the background. Etc!!

    • I love this doodle, Charlie. The expression of joy on the kittens face is brilliant.

    • You are truly fortunate that you never broke a bone during a wild leap off the swing. But seeing the joyful expression on your cat’s face sorta explains why you did it.

      • Thanks so much, Laura! 😃💕 Yeah, I think getting through the 70’s as a child unbroken was pretty much pure luck! lol But it was so free and fun!!

    • Thanks so much, De! 😃💕 I’m so thrilled this brought back fun memories!! Such a fun time indeed!

    • Indeed!! We should never stop being that child inside. And I loved Evil Knievel as well… I had an action figure and motorcycle too! lol We all survived somehow even through all of that crazy and reckless daring (at least by today’s standards). But yeah… after 50 a lot of the physical stunts will just have to remain a lovely dream for me as well! hehe Much love! 😃💕

    • Thanks so much, Shawn! 😃💕

  • For our prompt of “Ring” today, the first thing that came to mind was a stack of donuts. This was not because I’ve actually had a donut recently, but because I’ve been trying to avoid sweets in general lately.

    • Charlie I know, I wouldn’t even eat more than half the two inch slab of my birthday cake (chocolate truffle) and got the hostesses mad at me. I don’t worry about gaining weight as I can’t do that easily but I do worry about cholesterol and saturated fats. The amount I ate was over the line.

For some reason I am looking forward to winter this year. Now this is a mind spasm I am sure as I hate winter with a passion. Up here we get black, white, grey, and brown for a vista. The ice is dangerous when you racewalk in a blizzard. Ahem. And it is too cold anyway. But somehow I anticipate the awful thing — maybe the winter cooking I look forward to.

      Enjoy — safely!

      • I think it must definitely be the winter cooking! That’s definitely one of the best parts of the season. But yeah… these days, I have to watch portions much more, but tasting is still so wonderful! 😃💕

    • I don’t think it gets much more tempting than a doughnut with pink icing. As if they aren’t enticing enough anyway, the pink seems to take it to a whole new level of naughty. That Ghost Light show sounds like so much fun!

    • I’m looking forward to watching the moon rise as well! There’s so much to enjoy in every season. Speaking of enjoying- love today’s sketch.

      • I agree Laura. Every season has its own joy. I don’t even mind January because it means that spring is coming and I love those blustery, snowy days (as soon as I don’t have to do anything more than shovel in them) 😉

      • Thanks so much, Laura! 😃💕 Yes, always so much to enjoy with each season. I’m SO looking forward to this one!

    • Oh Charlie a puppy and donuts! Nothing could be sweeter! We went to see Wayne Thiebaud’s exhibit this weekend at Laguna Beach. All glorious color! Only thing for me spooky, it was all clowns😆 😨🤡So I picked up his luscious illustrated counting book for our great-niece! All deserts!! So much better😋It’s fun being Graunty and Gruncle! So happy your birthday celebrating was joyous and I need to hear how the Air-fryer goes. I love the Insta pot, I just started soup!

      • Thanks so much! 😃💕 That’s awesome! Love Thiebaud! What a wonderful gift for your great-niece. So far so awesome on the air fryer lid… it’s worth it for the chicken alone! Yum!

    • I know how that puppy feels, they look very tasty. I know what you mean about this month flying by. I’m now cycling to work in the dark, but like you I enjoy the dark evenings and snuggling up in the warm.

    • Love those donuts, Charlie!!! Last night I attended a small gathering of artist friends …the first time we’ve gotten together in two years also the first time in the same amount of time that I’ve driven anywhere at night. How fortunate it was last night; my due East drive was illuminated by a beautiful, nearly full moon in a cloud free sky.

      • I love it that you got the prompts for November, I have to look at them next. 😉

        • Thanks, Zoie! Hope you enjoy the November prompts! It’s always nice to see your work on Doodlewash!

          • Oh that is so sweet of you Mary 🙂 To be honest I haven’t looked at them yet, but I am sure I will love them and whatever is on the 3rd I’ll give it a go 🙂

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Aww that’s so wonderful you got back together with your friends!! And sounds like a gorgeous drive as well!

    • I’m in Florida, and missing much of the seasonal change I normally enjoy in Oregon. But I’ll be home soon and will enjoy the end of it all the more for missing the beginning!

    • Marisela, It actually doesn’t get that cold here in the tourist country of Okanagan, in BC, where vineyards, wineries, and orchards abound. We are outside the Sonoran Desert that runs from Mexico to the Yukon so we get the desert nights and days. We have had minus 35 Celsius (-40F and -40C are equal) but only for a day, the coldest it usually gets is in the minus 20s C. You would be surprised how many times I called the police when people were wandering around in -35 and I was sure they were going to get hypothermic and die on the ice — such as the young woman who was so drunk/stoned she could not walk and kept falling at 5:30 on a Christmas morning. One kid did a flip on his scooter, and knocked himself out. I called the ambulance and he must have regained consciousness and took off. Good thing because they told me I won’t get an ambulance as those were all out on calls. Yet in summer it reached to the 40sC this year (116 F). Apparently that is going to happen more often, the meteorologist informs us.

Take care and enjoy the fall! Hugs.

    • I love this Charlie – but I love all your paintings 🙂 and I love how you share with us. I love this time of year! To me autumn through until January feels cozy. October has the excitement of Halloween and I love the spooky aspect. November has the anticipation of Christmas up until the Big Day 😉 and to me Christmas means family and joy and laughter. So many exciting things in the fall and although it is a very busy time for me I try to take as much time as I can just to enjoy the cozy feel. Pheneus (sorry probably spelled his name wrong) staring at the plate of donuts just gives me the giggles. Thanks for the joy you always give. 🙂

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕 Yes! I adore this season so much…. the countdown starts right away for spooky Halloween month and keeps going until the new year. It’s so awesome!

    • Marisela it sounds wonderful where your friend is 🙂 You should paint that scene you described 🙂

    • Aww thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 hehe… chicken fried steak was always my favorite as a kid. Now I can’t have steak anymore, but I’ve been craving fried chicken! I adore star gazing… at my mom’s house in Texas it’s well outside the city and it’s so amazing how many stars appear! I love it!

  • For our prompt of “Glue” today, I thought back to all of those fun craft projects I used to enjoy when I was a kid. Part of the fun, if not all of the fun, was being able to play and make a big old mess. I

    • Charlie you are a sweetheart and he will love your efforts. Not to worry about wrapping, I make a sloppy mess and nobody complains. Take care and happy birthday to Philippe! Blessings.

    • It was fun, at least when you didn’t have to clean it all up afterwards. Happy birthday to Philippe! Orange chocolate cake sounds like the best birthday surprise! I’d like to see Philippe try and wait a while before sampling that 😉

      • Thanks so much, Jacob! 😃💕 Yeah, cleaning up is not the fun part at all. lol Philippe showed wonderful restraint actually… I had to finally beg him to let us eat the darn cake already! hehe

        • Wow, that is pretty impressive! I’m quite happy to have little or no restraint where cake is involved!

    • That orange chocolate Grand Marnier cake sounds delicious and I want some! Although, I did just have a bowl of mango ice cream with fresh mango on it so I won’t complain too bitterly about missing out on the cake. I’ve always had allergy problems with mango in the past, but I’m found I can eat oranges in Florida but not in Oregon, and decided to give it try. Yay! I can, though I’m not going to go overboard. I’m not sure if it’s the freshness, the source of the fruit or something they spray on, but I’m enjoying it while I can!

      • Oh wow! That’s awesome! Yeah, I’ve always been allergic to mangos as they come to me here at least! And the cake was amazing… so light and fluffy and in my head at least… that means calorie light as well. lol 😉

    • Happy Birthday to Phillippe! He will love all of your efforts to make his birthday a special day! Love your crafting Beagle! It makes me think of a German Shepherd we had years ago…a very mischievous dog and he loved glue….big gallon sized jugs of glue. We walked into the house one day to find one of my husband’s shirts on the floor in the middle of a very large puddle of glue and a dog with glued whiskers and fur. He pulled this stunt more than once even when the jug of glue was in a cupboard where we thought he couldn’t get into it. He was quite a character.

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Oh wow!! What a mess and too funny! Sounds like he had a lot of fun at least with that glue… just brought him back for more!

    • Oh my gosh this made me smile Charlie because it is just how I see myself all gluey and sticky and … well you know 🙂 I don’t have to dream about making big messes … lol …. they happen quite regularly with me. Paint on my hands, face, in my white hair and always … for some reason on the tip of my nose 😉 lolol But nothing on the paper 😉 lolol Happy Birthday to Philippe 🙂 and many more!!

    • Great doodle, Charlie. The gift bags do the rounds in our family. Hope Phillipe had a nice birthday.

      • Thanks so much, Gary! 😃💕 Yeah, we wrap at Christmas, but any other time, it’s gift bags all the way! Philippe had a wonderful birthday…. and best of all, we still have some cake to enjoy today!

    • Mariella, congrats on your new car, I pray travel blessings over you in it! I loved mine and drove it for 13 years!

    • Charlie you made the perfect party! Happy Birthday to Philippe! You reminded me I have 2 Birthdays tomorrow! (Oh my, I’m gonna be busy!)

    • I make lots of messes in my atmospheric paintings — and it’s harder to make a mess in those because you deliberately draw pigment across the page and invite or bleed colour and use lots of water to create water or colour flow. Have fun!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Yeah, Philippe has a fabulous birthday… though it went by super quick. And yay on the new car!! That’s wonderful! Yeah… there’s so much new tech in them these days. We still drive our classic car.😊 And sending positive thoughts for your friend. Warm hugs to you!! 💕

    • Hellooooooo Mugdha!! So happy to hear from you again my friend! 😃💕 Wow… that sounds so amazing! All those beautiful creatures… that would be so inspiring. And a break from the Internet can be inspiring too… hehe… but happy you could pop back in to say hello. Sending you a hug to the jungle!! Much love my friend! ❤️

    • Thanks so much, Marlena! 😃💕 Yeah, making messes is part of the fun!

  • Hi there! My name is Darren Yeo. I am a watercolour artist and teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. I graduated from the University of Western Australia in the field of psychology (B.A. Hons. Psych). I’m also

  • For our prompt of “Bird” today, I decided to make a sketch of my little owl character holding a candle. I’ve not yet come up with a story for this owl, but one is starting to brew, so he might end up in a book at

  • For our prompt of “Chair” today, I ended up with a little doodle of a cat taking a break from reading a book. I’ve always loved reading and lately I’ve been trying to always have a book going. This usually means

    • Awe—- some! Have fun Charlie!

    • What a delightful illustration! Thank you Charlie for sharing your inner child with us.

    • You realize how spoiled we are in Western civilization when it comes to gift giving. So many of us have everything we need, and good portion of what we want. I remember in one of the Little House On the Prairie books where Laura Ingalls Wilder exclaims over her Christmas presents ‘a new tin cup, a stick of peppermint candy, a small sugar cake and a “shining bright, new penny’. She’s ecstatic. I think we’ve deprived ourselves of much joy by having too much. Now, having said that, I hope Santa brings me lots of art supplies, a a new printer, and much more for Christmas! I am a creature of my society, after all!

      • LOLOLOL – me too Sandra 🙂 and also for my birthday, well not Santa, but still – lots of art supplies and some sort of a system so that I have everything just handy and ready to go. Oh an talent 😉 … I know!!! LOL

      • haha!! So true! Yep… knowing we have everything we need should never stop us from dreaming of more. And art supplies can also be considered a necessity in my book! lol 😃💕

    • Love this post, Charlie! What’s not to love about a cat relaxing to read a book. I was the same way about books when I was a kid and still end my day with a few chapters of whatever book I’ve managed to pick up. My reading adventures have taken me (and still do take me) to so many exciting, exotic locations where I’ve met so many wild, wonderful and wacky characters. I can’t imagine my life with books….and art supplies 🙂.

      • Thanks so much, Mary! 😃💕 Yay for books and art supplies! Yeah, I’m only a couple chapters a day now, but I make it through eventually. I just get so sleepy… I should really find time to read during the day. hehe

    • Charlie this is delightful. One of the things I absolutely love about you and many of the artists in Doodlewash – just the simple creativity of thinking of that for a prompt. I will keep on watching and learning and hoping it rubs off 😉 LOL.

      • Thanks so much, Zoie! 😃💕… I love trying to bend the prompt to my will. At least, whatever it manifests as in the day! Usually, just thinking of the animal I’d like to sketch and then looking at the prompt and making it work somehow! hehe

    • Ha ha, I love this doodle, Charlie.

    • Thanks Charlie! This cat looks so relaxed with a book😎🤓 As a kid with breathing problems growing up in the smoggy 60s and 70s, a book was the answer for my overactive imagination. And I read everything I could find in our house, like the World Book Encyclopedias. I checked them out before I donated them for my parents, very nostalgic. My favorite series was My Book House. That’s where my love of illustration came from, they’re beautiful 😍 I m praying 🙏🏼 all our holidays are better this year with health,✌🏼 and some joy!

    • Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Indeed! One day! And truly… sometimes, I end up alone if Philippe has to work, so it’s really just Phineas’ snoring to keep me company. lol I just love this season… it sparkles with a hope that gets me through the whole year!

    • They do fill our lives more than we can ever know until they’re gone. But it’s always worth the journey! ❤️ And yes, I’ll “try” to give Phineas that hug! hehe
