Experimenting with Bee paper with sktchy app inspirations. This is my 2nd watercolor on the paper, but it didn\'t seem to lift very well, could be because it was so dark? darkdoodle

This young man is a programmer for the app sktchy. He said he draws with code. I\'m so happy he does! coderdoodle

I took this reference photo of Yosemite Valley in the 1980s. My dilemma is...when I took the photo I was careful to step into the water so I could get the photo framed by overhanging limbs and leaves...I\'m afraid to put the limbs and leaves in for fear of messing it up! I think it would add to the painting...what do you think? yosemitevalley

Thanks Rod for posting about the Strathmore Free Workshops. I took the Realistic Watercolor for Beginners and...a portrait! I tried Kelly Eddington\'s technique of putting a wash over the entire paper first and then proceed. I like the result, and will try it again, but on Arches. This is one of my sktchy app portraits, so I usually don\'t use the best paper. guydoodle

I painted this quickly this morning, and probably wouldn\'t have uploaded it here, but you are all so supportive I wanted to share my fun news about the painting. The app sktchy is for artists from around the world to share their art from photos on the site. When you submit your art, and swipe to the right...the original photo is beneath. This was a black/white photo I wanted to be monochromatic. Lots of eye makeup on the photo, and seemed fun to do. Anyway, it got \"sktchy picked\" this morning. Just means its one of their favorites. Thanks for letting me share with such a wonderful community here! bluegal

It was nice to be back in Yellowstone National Park. Last visit was right before the big fire in 1988. Amazing to see the new growth of trees next to the burned ones. This is the approach to Old Faithful Geyser. yellowstone
