Thanks Pamela. I’m afraid I got all tangled up in the branches and wondered if I should bother posting it. I still can’t decide if I like it, but I spent a lot of time on it–too much time probably–and sometimes I think work deserves to be shared simply to honor the effort and commitment put into it.
I love the detail of the branches! That is what makes this such a wonderful painting; this is how the parks look like in this season. Strange! At first glance my reaction was: this is awesome! – then I read your hesitancy about it. Perfect example of our being our worst critics.
Thank you Shar, that’s so nice to hear! It’s true, the park really looks like this in February. I went out on a limb with all these scrawny bare limbs, and tried to capture a bit of the wildness there. Your comment and those above have really cheered me. 🙂
