I had a neighbour many years ago who used to make the brushes. It was interesting hearing all about the skill and techniques she used in her job.

Like you, I have been working with watercolor for almost a year and a half. Growing up oils were de rigueur though one could dally in pastels for fun 😉 But after a 40-odd year hiatus from painting, I discovered watercolor and its now my favorite medium.

I painted in college, but then I quit because I wasn’t good enough. Now, I don’t care! 😁

I so get that Peggy! I’ve worked happily in lots of mediums and always enjoyed them, but the journey with Watercolours is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. Charlie’s Doodlewash event in July and the request to join in by a friend who was active with that, was all it took to encourage me.
