The prompt was “family fun” and for my family, painting together is great fun. This patio painting includes painted rice paper with torn edges, pasted in layers, to represent tall leaves that surrounded the single rose. Textures are not entirely obvious in this picture. WW19_Day4
This painting was so much fun, it didn’t take all that long, but time seemed to stop while I was painting it. My only regret is that I wish I had painted the little blue bird a bit bigger. I really like how he turned out though.
Just some trees and happy little bushes. I’m pretty stoked about the bushes. I had dabbed some paint for the first bush and decided I was less than impressed with it. It is. In fact, I learned how to paint by watching youtube. I spent quite a bit of time only painting from tutorials there. These days I still watch them because they are fascinating, but when I sit down to paint my hand and brush seem to have a mind of their own.
#day22 Amusement parks have a truly local flavor in my country, Bangladesh. This is a native version of the Ferris wheel and it’s called Nagordola. These 4 sets of seats are manually pushed to go around the frame. IMG_20190122_220415_551
