For our prompt of “Childhood Game” today, I tried to think of a game that I hadn’t yet sketched. Then I thought about that game we used to play with string. Though not really a competitive game, it was more of a
Adorable Charlie and I do remember playing that but never got to the real complex moves. Today was a yard work day as my husband is down to 3 days a week. Both of us have sore backs tonight from moving rocks. It’s a good tired. Each day is an adventure.
Charlie you are absolutely right. I believe that is why this pandemic was allowed (not caused) so that man would learn how to get along with others and also how to be alone without freaking out. Blessings on you and Phillippe.
Next time I find the odd bit of string around I might have to see if I can remember the moves to make this string game. If I can get Joe to cooperate. I’m guessing his attention span will last about two minutes.
Aww I adore that you still talk for Monster! hehe Always with you! That’s the best thing about pets. And I do hope you had a fabulous birthday indeed! 😃💕 As for the contest, I’ve never entered one. Always feels a touch stressful! 😊hehe
Thanks so much, Mugdha! 😃💕 So true that I think Phineas does understand what we’re saying. But, he’s so confident that he doesn’t mind. To him, those other dogs are just pets. That one pup who shreds things sound naughty… just the kind of pup I like! Full inner child and no rules! 😉
For our prompt of “Flight” today, the things that came to mind were flying on a plane as well as flying birds. This made me wonder about flightless birds and how they might enjoy a chance to sail through the sky.
Charlie! Brilliant — a chartered plane for birds! I love it.
I love to come home after being out too especially last week masked and safe on a bus where not all riders wore those and then to the mall where people think it’s okay to disregard pandemic rules. Thank God I didn’t catch anything and my new cell phone better last til the end of the pandemic.
I love the way you are expressing your imagination through your art! I’m going to be so disappointed the next time I fly, and don’t have flightless birds among the passengers. Though I wouldn’t want to be next to an ostrich – they probably peck at your head the entire flight!
I really feel sorry for the flight crew though – imagine the cleanup after these characters deplane! Can you picture Phineas on that flight? Maybe as a steward?? He may have more fun than in the Pet Motel!
This painting made me smile 🙂 and like yourself I would have been going overseas right about now…not possible until maybe next year..a day at a time..and although i do like being home most days..I do miss traveling to break up the monotony of being in one place…”sigh” hopefully soon..thanks for a great post!!😊
Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 So today much be your birthday then! Happy Birthday my friend! Glad you’re getting out and taking a scenic drive! As long as we’re all okay, then everything is okay… that ‘s how I see it!
Thanks, Karen. I love the Gulf of Mexico and when I’m doing the market out at the beach on Sundays (haven’t since March) I usually get to watch the sun rise. I painted this from a photo I took looking west at the Gulf and the western sky was reflecting the sunrise….didn’t scan very well so lost that pretty sky.
For our prompt of “Sport” today, I wasn’t sure what to sketch as I’ve never really played or been interested in sports. Though, I did sometimes bat around tennis balls with my best friend in high school. He was
Pretty cute. I tried tennis when I was young. Not for me. I’m better at badminton. Lol! I’m better at croquet too. And bowling. In fact for my gym credit in college I had bowling, badminton, and running. The one thing I was really good at sportswise was biking. I put on many miles in my 30s. I miss it a lot.
As I sit, I am with all the family I can be with at one time. We are so grateful for the new normal! I am keeping my eyes wide open to enjoy everything about them!
I have a question about posting work- how do you photograph green? When I post something painted green, it looks so blah! And not really green! Your colors are appearing vivid and beautiful!
Hi Charlie, I am not swift with sports — and I am Canadian where sports is big. As far as I am concerned they should just pick up that stupid football etc and hand it to the guy who wants it so badly and be done with it. Yeesh already.
Like your kitty cat, winding up with a wicked backhand! Her markings remind me of our last cat, Killer. She was super-mouser and didn’t like chipmunks either…… She never came home one night…. She was a part of the family though and we miss her. It is all about family, isn’t’ it?
This weekend has been pretty dreary here in Oregon, with air quality the worst in the world. But the fires are being contained, and the air quality is supposed to improve bit by bit this coming week, so things are looking up. I haven’t felt inspired to paint much, but I did get a little done. It will help when the sky isn’t a sickly smoky yellow anymore.
Thanks so much, Marisela! 😃💕 Oh wow! Pee-Wee sounds like he was perfectly spoiled! hehe I agree… I think this time has given us a chance to focus only on what’s most important in life. And yes, to Phineas… that just means food! lol
