Rose posted artwork 3 months, 3 weeks agoI’m learning watercolor and am taking a fundamentals class. This was our first painting. It’s on Arches 140lb cold press. I started on Canson XL watercolor paper but the paint just sat where I put it, even in the wet on wet part, and it looked horrid, so I bit the bullet and bought some decent paper and started over. So much happier with this piece now. Working on a parrot for the next assignment and learning about mixing colors. IMG_20221129_231300

Thank you! And yes, it does, and I’m glad I learned this before spending too much on cheap watercolor paper.
