Old dirt roads…
I have been down many an old dirt road just to see where it led.
the pine trees and watched the clouds float by.
Listened to the birds sing and chased a butterfly or two.
Adventures led to discoveries and paths still to explore.

I often mention camping, fishing and spending time in the woods as a child. I have obviously reached the age where you spend a good deal of time thinking about your childhood. A lot of my childhood was spent out in the woods and forests near us.
And no matter where we were, mom always brought her cassette player and several cases of cassettes along as well. So for every outdoor adventure, there was always music.
One of my favorites was her Roy Clark cassettes. Not only was he a good singer, but in between the songs he would tell the funniest stories. You would think the stories would become less funny the more often you heard them, but his oddly enough, just got funnier and funnier as the years went by. Especially the one about the fruit jar rubbers, and there is really no way to explain that unless you have heard Roy Clark talk about his mama and the fruit jar rubbers.
