Super simple…
Last night’s prompt of “sky” resulted in a super simple skyscape with a touch of land at the bottom. I love painting skies. There is an endless variety of ways to paint them and each one can lead to a series of even more ideas. Lately I have been experimenting with adding a touch of wysteria and or carmine to my skies. I like the soft pink-ish glow that occurs when I drop them into wet blues. Generally I use Ultramarine blue with touches of Phthalo or cobalt teal. So the pinks and soft purples blend in rather nicely. I need to explore yellows a bit more so I can get some nice golden glows going on, but that is a task for another day.
