River- I was trying a texture experiment that didn’t work, and then I tried to save the painting. It’s okay, but looks a little odd, I think. River-XanaduArt Handmade Watercolor onHahnemühle Cezanne 140 HP

Actually… I just think it looks gorgeous… the color and light are amazing! 😍
Thank you, Charlie! You’ve made my day.
It is beautiful! So ethereal and appears to be lit from within.
Thank you, Shar!
Thank you! I had to use opaque ink to hide the texture experiment and it changed the light and shadows in some areas so they don’t match. I probably won’t notice as much when I come back in a while.
No, it looks like a Louisiana bayou which can have a river or several In the area. I love this, it reminds me of how my husband and I fell in love 27 years ago, boating on the rivers, lakes and bayous of Louisiana. I’m not from there though and wanted to run away from hurricanes. Fortunately before Katrina. It is just beautiful and looks just like places we’ve been. The water and the light, all of it is wonderful!
Thank you so much, Karen. Now I have a lovely story to go with this painting and I already love it more!
It’s beautiful!
Thank you, Mary!
I don’t see odd at all,I think it is a beautiful piece,I love the shine on the water..
Thank you, Pamela!
I really like this scene! This landscape is realistic to me, it could also be somewhere near my home.
Thank you, Janneke!
I like the light reflecting on the water
Thank you!

Thank you, Norelys!
Its lovely!!! Reminds me of one of our favorite fishing holes!!! <3
Thank you! I used a reference photo off of Pixabay, but I chose it because it reminded me of a place that was on my aunt’s property, where we played when I was a child – long, long time ago, lol.
