The Munjtac is part of the deer subspecies Cervinae. They are
originally found in China, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, India and Indonesia. They have a smaller body type and are know to make a barking noise when looking for a mate or to warn of danger. Their canines are a bit longer sort of like smaller tusks and they have smaller antlers. They are said to be the oldest species of deer and of great interest in evolutionary studies. I just think they are fabulous and cute and am happy to know about them. 🙂 PSX_20191122_112658
