I think you have the basics. I suppose the important question is what you hope to achieve? What you’ve done here is a line and wash (one of my own favorite techniques), but perhaps you want more realism, or perhaps you want transparent, glowing colors or softly blended ones. Are you familiar with the terms ‘hard edges’, ‘soft edges’ and ‘lost and found edges’? Those are very important with watercolor, and if you aren’t familiar, I recommend googling them and deciding which you want (you can want all of them).
Thank you for your feedback,I do love the line and wash technique and would love to improve, I’m not familiar with the edges styles you mentioned, I will just keep trying and hopefully my work will become better.
