#worldwatercolormonth Day 31 prompt: Do-Over I had a bright, dark background on a piece of watercolour that was headed for the bin, when I thought it might be salvageable. What if.....? So I grabbed my micron black pen and doodled over (that\'s the same as a do -over, isn\'t it?) the colours, then painted a darker background. I also added some metallic paint and gelly roll pens, too. Here\'s the before and after. I think it\'ll make a nice card......It\'s been a fun month! ScanScan

#WorldWatercolorMonth Day 17 prompt: Spontaneous It\'s a 3 for 1 day! The first painting I wet the paper, then put out 3 colours of fresh paint ( DS Ultramarine Turquoise, W&N Brown Madder and Quinacridone Gold) onto a piece of plexiglass. Rolling into the paint with my brayer, then rolling the brayer onto the wet paper created a big mess! What to do? I quickly grabbed a foam stencil I\'d made and pressed that into the mess. It lifted some of the paint, leaving behind the spiral pattern. So then I grabbed a piece of w/c paper with a warm background wash, and stamped onto it with the foam, repeating many times until spontaneous2 was covered and enough of the paint mess was lifted from spontaneous to create nice spirals. There was still some paint left on the plexiglass, so I pressed a small piece of w/c paper onto the paint. Hmmmmm, it looked like a wind-blown tree on a rocky shore. I grabbed a small brush and added more paint from the plexiglass to better define the scene, thus creating spontaneous3. Which one do you like? ScanScanScan
