I am so so very sorry…. there are no good words for how it feels to lose a beloved pet who is really a member of your family. I know you have amazing memories of him, but it doesn’t take away the missing of a warm, furry, body and unique personality. Prayers and hugs for you both.

Such beautiful work! It’s always inspiring to read about people who continue to learn and grow as they get older… good reminder that we rarely should let age limit us….

I really like how you draw glass… and that bright cobalt blue makes for a nice contrast with the drink. And I do love Windsor and Newton! I have a few of their watercolors.

Lovely!! And I always feel it’s encouraging to hear the stories of self-taught artists.

That alarm clock is pretty shiny! I think your eleventh hour inspiration struck true!

I really like those sneakers… and that you added some “dirt” so they look well liked and worn. I agree that walking around the house without shoes is a really freeing feeling. And I want some cad-free colors! 🙂

I love this! Thank you! I’ve been intrigued by this style — leaving white margins around objects– when I’ve seen it in others’ work. I don’t think I’ve seen background done this way and really like the effect. Thank you!

Love your kitty… and how you drew the markings on him/her! I have a gray tabby who is often doing things that lead to that expression 🙂

Your affogato lools delicious! Life isn’t always easy and there are plenty of bumps, and likely more to come. But most of us have much to be grateful for. Thanks for the reminder.

I really like your fish…. the color, and movement, and the fantasies they evoke. For some reason they remind me of mermaids!

Your illustrations are lovely… your magnolia and warbler particularly so as it feels like this has been a long winter and it’s nice to think about warmer weather and blooming trees. And trying to ‘manage’ social media in such a way that you always come out on top seems like an exhausting process. Good for you for not bothering.

Thanks for this! I was just looking at a mixing set of 15 Daniel Smith half-pan watercolors and saw this Buff Titanium, which I’m not really familiar with. I was a little surprised at the color, but appreciate how it can be used!

I also love the ornament… and think you probably could paint that scene on a clear glass ornament with glass paint. I’ve really appreciated the focus of all your sketches– they’re not big paintings, but they convey so much emotion and whimsy. What would you say helped you improve the most when it comes to sketching? Or sketching + watercolor?

That is such a fun (and warm) image!! As a child I also loved turning the tree on at night, especially when I was by myself in a quiet house…. but never thought to create a dry sauna :-)!
