World Watercolor Group?. Rekindled Memories --ELEPHANT WALK---This painting reminds me of our last trip in January 2017 to Northern Kenya Africa. we went out every morning at the crack of dawn and drive for a couple of hours to the river and wait for the Elephants to come.
we would see a couple, then a few more .eventually we were surrounded by elephants, it was wonderful they would come very close and sniff at us , we felt no threat from these gentle giants as they played in the mud and water, then they would go for a sand wash, this we did get a little sandy, but we just sat and took hundreds of photos, even the guide said he had never been that close to an elephant before, it was funny to see him take a few selfies with elephants close up behind him.i am sure that the elephants did remember us, as by the third day they took no notice of us except to trump and say morning, the babies were really funny trying to get up the slippery banks but needing the help from mum from behind. I know how David Attenborough must feel when he is on location in the bush, it is a wonderful feeling to be that close to the giants of Africa..... ELEPHANT WALK
