Jan 30: Green. The plan was to do green, but grabbed the blue marker instead. This is a study from Winslow Homer’s “Croquet Scene,” 1866. 20210131_203544

I love it, nice work! Good idea to “summarize” the brick pattern. I sometimes get stuck trying to delineate every single brick.

Puppy was today’s prompt, but I drew my puppy recently, so I did my son’s tortoise on a pile of lettuce instead. First time in a long time using water (watercolor pencils) … not overwhelmed with the results, but I also know to expect a learning curve. 🙂 Happy weekend! 20210129_221220

Work has been busy, so I switched to colored pencils that I keep in my office and can do easily on conference calls 🙂 Prompts completed: beginning, small, egg, and seeds. The egg and seeds were in my tray that goes out to the compost pile. beginsmalleggseed

My mom has a photo very similar … class of 1963 or something. What a lovely tribute.

The proportion and balance on this study is perfect!!
That’s really good, Glenda.
Nice!
Lovely!
Wonderful! You sound like me – I’m always sticking my brush in the wrong color. But I learn new great (and not-so great) color combinations that way!
Very good!
