DD 21 - oh drat - over fiddled with this feral pony and spoiled a painting. You win some, you lose some. IMG_3183

This one worked well , though - I\'ve even managed to sell it! DD 20 was surprisingly simple to execute (a happy surprise). Found my bottle of India Ink in the attic - LOVE ink! IMG_3177

DD 18 - and was feeling the full brunt of a headcold - temperature, achey, head in a goldfish bowl feeling. Crawled home to bed as soon as I could. But not before scrawling the daily effort in my sketchbook - this was Boston Tea Party - a coffee house in Exeter. IMG_3180

Some of the daily draws are just drawings with no watercolour in sight - so they aren\'t uploaded here. This little sketch for DD17 had a hint of watercolour though! IMG_3178

Daily Draw 12 (a) and (b). I attended a demonstration by local artist J.C.Skinner (from Teignmouth) yesterday - how to paint moody skies and water. Couldn\'t wait to try the technique out and used Dominique\'s photograph from PMP of an old French chapel as my reference. However, my sheet of paper is old and had couple places where there must have been a bit of grease, or the size had gone as there was an ugly blue blob where that area was situated. So I cut off a strip and made a second painting (not half as pleasing I don\'t think - as I\'m well pleased with the first main one!). Masking fluid used for the grass - and the artist uses WHITE gouache to make his skies and water! Shock, horror. 12 (b) is just an imaginary scene to practice. IMG_3138IMG_3139
