Mixed media paper, interesting. I haven’t tried that at all. I mostly use Daniels Smith but felt like I needed to move to W&N in order to get a turquoise I really liked. Is the blue/turquoise a mix you made or did I maybe miss a DS shade I should have tried? And is that Imperial purple maybe? I’m intrigued with how well these colors flow &…[Read more]

Thanks Trissa. I’m using Daniel Smith watercolors on Canson Mix Media XL paper in a ringed sketchbook.

folks here are so talented. I love the colors for the zebra with the warm and the cool. there’s so much I need to learn & explore still…i would not have thought to put them together that way and they look amazing.

I use my journal to record everything in roughly the order it happens, so cat antics, husband antics, views, foods, travel (hint hint for you) and I mostly stick with one journal until I finish it.

Here is one of my images in my last journal. I find if I have nothing else to draw or I’ve changed my palette it definitely breaks the ice.
