So it’s probably no surprise to those who’ve been following me that my favorite dinner food is dessert! I’m not super picky when it comes to dessert, but when I’m going out to dinner, I really appreciate having a few options on the menu. When you’re eating at one of the finer restaurants, you can usually bet on only 5 or 6 dessert options. One is always some ridiculously decadent triple chocolate creation, but this is never the one I like best. Although I love chocolate, I prefer a full dose and don’t care for the watered down versions that come in dessert form. My selection is usually whatever is mainly vanilla and cream. Actually, just homemade whipped cream is probably my favorite dessert of all. It’s like enjoying all the decadent delights of having a premium ice cream with only half the guilt.
As I type this, Philippe and I are discussing dessert options for this evening. I really wanted a cobbler, but we have some bananas that are getting too brown so it looks like we’ll be doing something with those instead. Dessert doesn’t always accompany dinner for us, but that’s what makes it so special. And I should now admit that I’m hyper multi-tasking with too many things happening at once. We’re also watching a Crafsty class currently and drinking wine, so I’m going to keep this post short today.
