Written by My official 1st full doodlewash using just my Platinum Carbon fountain pen with no pencil or eraser and moving straight to a wash of color! So a small little victory there. Still struggling a bit with how to color once I’m staring at a fully inked sketch.
It becomes a bit more like a coloring book which is kind of fun and my inner child comes out. But I sort of liked my sketch so I’m also worried I’m going to screw it up. Going to try moving back and forth between these and pencil with watercolor to see what style I like best. But I already know, like children, I’ll like them all equally, but differently.
Kansas City has a lot of these beautiful Victorian homes, many of which are in my current neighborhood. As a child, I always thought it would be cool to have a little room in the top of one of these. As an adult I just look and worry about all the maintenance and upkeep. It’s funny how our perspectives change with age.
